Robbe De Houwer is a Belgian lawyer admitted to the Dutch-speaking Brussels Bar, specialising in real estate, regulatory law and dispute resolution. He advises national and international clients on the legal aspects of real estate throughout its entire lifecycle - from acquisition and development to leasing, restructuring and dispute resolution.

His practice covers both advisory, transactional and contentious matters. He assists clients with asset and share deals involving property-holding entities (SPVs), (complex) lease structures, development projects and the structuring of property rights. He drafts and negotiates real estate contracts, supports multidisciplinary transactions and represents clients in commercial disputes in the broadest sense.

Robbe also advises on environmental and regulatory aspects of real estate, including soil pollution, asbestos and town planning matters, ensuring that legal compliance is aligned with commercial feasibility.

His experience spans all major real estate classes, including office, industrial, residential, retail, leisure and healthcare assets.

He gained his experience within leading national and international business law firms, advising investors, developers, corporate groups and regulated businesses. His work frequently involves coordination across corporate, tax and regulatory disciplines, allowing him to approach matters from a structurally integrated perspective.

Alongside his transactional practice, Robbe regularly advises on lease portfolio management and has extensive experience in (complex) litigation before Belgian courts and tribunals. His dispute background strengthens his advisory work: agreements are structured with enforceability, risk allocation and long-term positioning in mind.

Clients value his structured thinking, responsiveness and ability to distinguish material risks from theoretical exposure. His advice is pragmatic, proportionate and commercially grounded.
